RunAbility 2027 – Indemnity, Waiver and Terms & Conditions

By entering RunAbility 2027 (May 2027), I confirm that:

1. Voluntary participation. I enter freely. I understand that running, walking and other activities on the route carry risks, including injury, illness, heat exhaustion, uneven terrain, weather, traffic and, in rare cases, death.
2. Fitness. I am physically fit enough for the distance I have entered. I have no medical condition that would make taking part unsafe, or I have taken medical advice before entering.
3. Indemnity. To the extent the law allows, I indemnify and hold harmless Libumba, its directors, staff, volunteers, sponsors, partners and landowners. This covers any loss, damage, injury, illness or death to me or my property arising from my participation, travel to and from the event, or any related activity, however caused.
4. Medical treatment. I allow event officials and medical staff to give me first aid or emergency treatment, or arrange it for me, if needed. Any medical costs are my own responsibility.
5. Rules and instructions. I will follow the event rules, the route markings, and instructions from marshals and officials. I may be removed from the event if I don't, or if I'm judged unfit to continue.
6. Changes and cancellation. The organisers may change the route, timing or format, or cancel the event, for safety or other reasons beyond their control. Entry fees are [non-refundable / refundable as follows: ___]. Entries are [not transferable / transferable until ___].
7. Photos and media. I consent to photographs and video of me taken at the event being used by Libumba for promotional purposes, without payment.
8. Personal information. I consent to Libumba processing the details I provide to administer the event and to contact me about it, in line with its privacy policy.
9. Minors. If I am entering on behalf of someone under 18, I am their parent or legal guardian, and I accept these terms on their behalf.
